The Grateful Dead is the debut album of the Grateful Dead. It was released by Warner Bros. Records in March 1967. According to the biographies of both bassist Phil Lesh and drummer Bill Kreutzmann, the band released the album as San Francisco's Grateful Dead. The album was primarily recorded at RCA's Studio A, in Los Angeles, in only four days. The band had wanted to record the tracks in their hometown of San Francisco, but no recording studios in the area had modernized equipment at the time

The Grateful Dead have a large legacy of recorded work that only continues to grow - you've heard about that 73 CD 'Europe '72' box set, right? It's a lot to consider, so to celebrate the late great Jerry Garcia's birthday (Aug. 1), we decided to narrow it down to this list of the Top 10 Grateful Dead Albums: 10. 'Dylan And The Dead'. Two years after Bob Dylan and The Grateful Dead teamed up for a stadium tour in 1987, this live album, 'Dylan And The Dead' was released, collecting performances from the tour.

The Grateful Dead’s self-titled debut album was released on March 17, 1967 through Warner Bros. The San Francisco Bay Area group went to Southern California to record the album at RCA’s Studio A in Los Angeles. The album was produced in January over a four-day period by David Hassinger. The album was reissued with six extra songs: Alice D. Millionaire, Overseas Stomp (the Lindy), Tastebud, Death Don’t Have No Mercy, and two versions of Viola Lee Blues. The Grateful Dead Q&A.

The Grateful Dead (ザ・グレイトフル・デッド Za Gureitofuru Deddo) is the Stand of Prosciutto featured in Vento Aureo. The Grateful Dead is a humanoid torso covered with eyes. It lacks legs but has large arms, and it walks on its hands, where each has four huge metal-like and segmented fingers evenly spaced around its circumference. Hanging from its waist, where its legs should be, are four segmented tentacles. The eyes all over its body give it the look of a yokai

The Grateful Dead were enjoying a late-career renaissance in 1989 when the band steamed into Philadelphia on one of the hottest days of the summer to play the last concert ever at John F. Kennedy Stadium. During this tour, the band was recording the follow-up to that album, Built To Last, which is an important reason why the jamming heard here is particularly fluid and concise. In fact, the band played a pair of songs from the upcoming album, the aching ballad Standing On The Moon and the poignant Blow Away, a song cowritten by keyboardist Brent Mydland, who sadly died a year later.
