The Sanity Clause" - deep dark and driving is the only way to describe this track - "Stoopid Mix" is the one i would go for, with its deep driving bassline, multiple synth rifts and stabs, "Come On" vocal and the topline pattern which lifts the track in parts. Courting Madness" - again has a dark vibe but is lifted by the subtle piano line in parts, as the track builds it drops into breakbeat with a bleep, spaced-out sound - vibe which cleverly adds a different feel to the track  . The best track on this record though is 'Courting Madness'. Easily in my mind the best thing Zero Zero have done. Chilled Vocals, and Acid tinged breaks make this an absolute classic and a must for any true Old School fan. Reply Notify me 3 Helpful.

Talk about Zero Zero - The Sanity Clause / Courting Madness

Kazracage
It is all about Courting Madness for me, damn what a cut, takes me right back to 1992, very moody, haunting breakbeat techno.

Great 12" that was huge back in its day."The Sanity Clause" - deep dark and driving is the only way to describe this track - "Stoopid Mix" is the one i would go for, with its deep driving bassline, multiple synth rifts and stabs, "Come On" vocal and the topline pattern which lifts the track in parts."Courting Madness" - again has a dark vibe but is lifted by the subtle piano line in parts, as the track builds it drops into breakbeat with a bleep / spaced-out sound - vibe which cleverly adds a different feel to the track. Two great tracks on this 12", both played heavily back in their day.

All true time classics especially The Sanity Clause thats great to hear when the sun is coming up at a out door rave like from back in the dayz this tune has stood the test of time and still will for ever for each time you listen to what a blessing of a tune ZERO ZERO at there best and the peak of all the tunes they ever made enjoy Geebeats.

Still love this EP, still better than most things you'll hear now, the Killer EP was great, but I wish they'd made more like this. Hard to believe it's 17+ years old. Stunning basslines in all 3 of the tracks and the Analogue / Vinyl warmth will send shivers up your spine, especially if all you've ever heard is this nasty glitchy minimal "techno" people are churning out at the moment. Highlight is probably "Courting Madness" as the previous reviewer states, it's a gem. Oh yeh and check out "Zero Zero - Thank God For Evil" on youtube, as it bizarrely isn't mentioned here on discogs.
Funny duck
Just dropping in a second time to tell us how much you love it, eh? Haha

This is one of my favourite records of its time. Every track is well produced, and not really your typical rave track. There's nothing that springs to mind that sounds remotely like it. The main one on side A being the sublime Sanity Clause, which (aside from the slightly annoying sample of "COME ON" running through it) kicks A*se, especially when the bleepy tune kicks in over the top of the bass. The best track on this record though is 'Courting Madness'. Easily in my mind the best thing Zero Zero have done. Chilled Vocals, and Acid tinged breaks make this an absolute classic and a must for any true Old School fan.
Thordibandis
Not too keen on the main traxk on this, but hidden away on the flip side is a hidden gem. 'Courting madness' is a truly sublime piece of bassline driven rave tranciness with momentary blissfull breakbeat moments. Track it down and take a listen.Class.
Gribandis
I love this, the main track is the best, although the others are good too. it's slightly uplifting, lovely wobbling bass and nice and bleepy. some good / original samples, makes me feel very very nostalgic, pre-drum and bass, although zero zero went on to do some more fine stuff s bit more in that direction.
