Each time in history has its own distinctive music and the Second World War is no exception. The era produced many songs from all over. Here is a list of 10 songs that capture a variety of sentiments from different countries involved in World War Two. 1. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Immensely popular and enduring, this hit was recorded by the American trio the Andrew Sisters and introduced in the Abbott and Costello film Buck Privates, which was released in January 1941, nearly a year before the US entered the war. 2. Don’t let’s be Beastly to the Germans.

An epic discovery of Yiddish songs from the World War II and the Holocaust brought together Sergei Erdenko (Russia’s greatest Roma violinist, and longtime collaborator of Yehudi Menuhin) with an elite ensemble of virtuosi from the worlds of folk, Jewish, Roma, classical and jazz music. Going beyond klezmer, the album to be released by Six Degrees in 2018, re-defines the performance of Jewish music for the twenty-first century.

As World War II raged through Europe, a group of Soviet Yiddish scholars embarked on an ambitious goal to preserve Jewish culture of the 1940s. These historians believed that it was their duty to record stories, poems and songs by Jews who lived through this. They hoped to publish these songs, but the project was never completed. The Soviet Union, World War II: A team of ethnomusicologists led by Moisei Beregovsky collects hundreds of Yiddish songs documenting the wartime Jewish experience. Finally came the ensemble of classical, folk and jazz musicians and singers.

Imagine a world in which Britney Spears is singing "Umbrella," Hillary Duff scored a monster hit with "Since U Been Gone" and Paris Hilton asked "Don't Cha" instead of Scherzinger's old group, the Pussycat Dolls. Strange to consider, isn't it? But some of these missed opportunities were pretty close to becoming reality. Turned Down By: Britney Spears  . Songwriters George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam reportedly approached Janet's management team with a demo, but a swift decline forced them to look elsewhere.

The War is the fourth studio album by South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo. It was released digitally on July 18, 2017 and physically on July 19, 2017 by SM Entertainment under Genie Music's distribution. The album includes a total of nine tracks including the lead single "Ko Ko Bop".
