Buried Alive is the live album bi the Finnish hivy metal baund Sentenced, recordit durin their last show at Club Teatria, Oulu, Finland, on October 1st, 2005. It was released in 2xCD and 2xDVD formats, as well as box set containin aw fower disks an promotional photo o the baund. Funeral Intro is Adagio in G minor byi Remo Giazotto. The concert film Buried Alive, directed by Mika Ronkainen, filmed at the funeral gig, was premiered at Oulu Music Video Festival on 9 September 2006. In 2005 The Funeral Album was awarded gold status in Finland for sales in excess of 15,000 copies, footage of the event is filmed in the Buried Alive DVD! The CD topped the Finnish album chart upon its release in May 2005 and made it to position No. 49 on the German Media Control chart. Sentenced have been awarded Platinum in the band's native Finland for their posthumous live DVD Buried Alive. The trophy was handed out to the band's former members at the Century Media 20th anniversary party at the Tavastia club in Helsinki on 14 August 2008, where Poisonblack and labelmates Norther and Kivimetsän Druidi played exclusive gigs to properly celebrate this special event.

This feat was carried out in calculating fashion by 2005's aptly named The Funeral Album, capping these Finnish metal ambassadors' impressive 16-year career in style, but apparently leaving just one more final act to be played out in the shape of 2006's live CD and DVD, Buried Alive.
