Baritonist Lars Gullin's next-to-last recording (cut a little less than a year before his early death) features lengthy versions of four songs (two originals plus "I Love You" and "Just Friends") played by Gullin's 1975 quintet, a unit also including Bernt Rosengren on tenor and flute, pianist Lars Sjosten, bassist Bjorn Alke and drummer Fredrik Noren. Although his health was a bit shaky, Gullin still seems in good form, playing in a style not much different from the way he sounded during his prime 20 years earlier
