Exclusively for Prime members. Sample this album Artist (Sample). Howevever, this album is a prefect precursor of her personal confessions and insecurities on albums like Inside Story and Bulletproof Heart and Hurricane. Overall, Fame is not one of her best collections, but it's perfect for die-hard fans trying to complete their collection and fully realize the evolution of this pop icon we call Grace Jones. 4 people found this helpful.

With its fusion of musical genres such as reggae and electronic, along with elements of blues, funk, new wave and even salsa, the album marked a move away from her previous disco work and became an instant hit in the US and across the globe. It featured her much-loved hits Demolition Man, written by Sting, and Pull up the Bumper. A music feast of Jones’ best material, the album was a party pleaser for both diehard fans and less-dedicated listeners.

Fame" is the second studio album by Grace Jones. It was released on July 14, 1978. Just like on her debut album, Portfolio, side A is a continuous Tom Moulton-disco medley, with a total running time of 18:47.
