Red is the seventh studio album by English progressive rock group King Crimson, released in 1974 by Island Records in the United Kingdom and by Atlantic Records in the United States. It was their last studio recording of the 1970s and the last before lead member Robert Fripp temporarily disbanded the group. Though their lowest-charting album at the time, spending only one week in the UK charts, Red has received critical acclaim.

October 5, 1995 - October 6, 1995. The Collectable King Crimson, Vol. 5: Live in Japan, 1995. The King Crimson Double Trio were a bit of an unwieldy beast but were certainly one of the most exciting incarnations of the band once they hit their stride. This set captures them in Japan after completing an extensive . tour, and they were firing on all cylinders as a unit. Of course they were playing their most recent material from THRAK, but there's plenty of material from the 1981-1984 period as well as tracks from Red and Larks' Tongues in Aspic (even bringing back "The Talking Drum" for this tour).

This album was recorded in the double trio format of King Crimson. With the band consisting of two guitarists, two bassists and two drummers the opening track begins with all six musicians in the center of the mix. Then as the track gets going they are split into two trios (guitar, bass and drums) with three going to the left channel and three going to the right. Released on 3 April 1995, Thrak reached number 58 in the UK Albums Chart, their last album to chart. A new . surround sound mix by Jakko Jakszyk.
