Angelo Branduardi (born 12 February 1950) is an Italian folk/folk rock singer-songwriter and composer who scored relative success in Italy and European countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Greece. Branduardi was born in Cuggiono, a small town in the province of Milan, but early moved with the family to Genoa. He was educated as a classical violinist in the Genoa music conservatory, Niccolò Paganini.

Senza Spina means "Unplugged". But the Live recordings contained in this album date back to a time in which unplugged albums weren't so much on fashion. In December 1986, Branduardi and his musicians toured Europe with an acoustic concert. This album is a music document of that tour and it has been completed with the addition of 3 new tracks recorded in an acoustic version at the beginning of February 2009.
