Junky by William S. Burroughs is one of the best books involving drugs that I've read so far; no wonder it's some kind of classic. It actually portrays the junkie life very well, and I think that's because Burroughs had been a junkie himself. Junky indeed gives you the feeling of reality and the way characters feel the effects of junk is not questionable. This book has a lot of minor characters; I didn't really care for their names so the plot was sometimes confusing and I had to turn some pages back and see who those guys really were.
