Todd Rundgren - White Knight flac album

Runt is the self-titled debut album of the band Runt, released June 1970 on Ampex Records. Runt was a trio consisting of Todd Rundgren (guitars, keyboards, vocals), Hunt Sales (drums), and Tony Fox Sales (bass). The entire album was written and produced by Rundgren, formerly of Nazz, and he is the only member of Runt to perform on four of the nine cuts.

Todd is the fifth album and second double album by Todd Rundgren, released in February 1974. The album was an expansion of Rundgren's experimentation on his previous album, A Wizard, a True Star. Much of the album is intensely experimental.

Legendary oducer/maestro Todd Rundgren will be releasing the new album White Knight this Spring. Rundgren announced today that the 15-track set will come out May 12 on Cleopatra Records, and will precede with a headlining tour that will kick off in April.

Who are Todd Rundgren’s peers? While his fellow artists from the classic rock era have long solidified and embraced their legacy, Rundgren remains elusive. As a producer, he assisted the evolving sounds of the 1970s’ most innovative acts (New York Dolls, Patti Smith, XTC), but he was equally involved in its more commercial moments (Meat Loaf, Hall and Oates, Grand Funk Railroad). Rundgren’s latest album seeks to represent him in a more holistic, reflective light. White Knight is a genre-spanning collection that finds him pairing up with artists new and old to highlight his myriad gifts and to demonstrate the reach of his influence. But even if White Knight makes for Rundgren’s most marketable album in ages, it’s characterized by the cozy, homemade sound that’s defined all his work since 2004’s Liars.

Todd Rundgren, the renowned singer/songwriter, recording artist, and producer, has released what may well be one of his best recordings to date with White Knight. Offering up a generous 15-track set list, Rundgren collaborates on the various songs with such outstanding musicians and vocalists as Daryl Hall, Robyn, Joe Walsh, Donald Fagen, Joe Satriani, Moe Berg and Trent Reznor. The album showcases all of the production genius that has made Rundgren one of the most sought after record producers in the world. This isn’t to say that it’s a perfect album. There are a couple of misses, which frankly are to be expected in a 15-song set list with so many different kinds of artists and styles of music. But, without question, this is my favourite album so far this year.

Todd Rundgren prides himself in defying easy categorization and while that restlessness has resulted in brilliant work, it's also led him to cut confounding records. White Knight belongs to the latter category. A star-studded affair - 12 of the 15 songs feature a collaborator - White Knight covers a lot of stylistic ground (as would be fitting on a record that features Daryl Hall, Joe Walsh, Trent Reznor, and Robyn), but it's constricted by its chintzy production.
