Something/Anything? is the third album by American musician Todd Rundgren, released in February 1972. It was his first double album, and was recorded in late 1971 in Los Angeles, New York City and Bearsville Studios, Woodstock. Three quarters of the album was recorded in the studio with Rundgren playing all instruments and singing all vocals, as well as being the producer

Only for completionists (1%). The amazing fact that the majority of the songs were produced solely by the talents of one individual still blows my mind to this day.

Something/Anything? is a double album by Todd Rundgren, released in February 1972. It was Rundgren's third solo release, and was recorded in late 1971 in Los Angeles, New York City and Bearsville Studios, Woodstock. Three quarters of the album was recorded in the studio with Rundgren playing all instruments and singing all vocals, as well as being the producer. The final quarter contained a number of tracks recorded live in the studio without any overdubs, save for a short snippet of archive recordings from the 1960s. Something/Anything? has also continued to attract critical acclaim and has been praised for being Rundgren's best work, particularly since Rundgren moved away from the straightforward pop ballads present on this album to more experimental territory and progressive rock in later releases, beginning with the following A Wizard, A True Star and his band Utopia.

One of Todd Rundgren's best and most popular albums, also continued to demonstrate what a polymath Rundgren in music; Rundgren played on the album, wrote the material and produced the album (as well as engineering it). This collection has a number of highlights but it was the big hit "Hello It's Me" that brought Rundgren to the attention of AM radio listeners. Mastering engineer Kevin Gray has taken a minimalist approach to the remastering of the album as he tries to remain true to the sound of the original stereo master tapes (which was the source as noted in the packaging).

This was originally recorded by Todd Rundgren's late 1960s band The Nazz, and included on their 1968 debut album. This dirge-like version with lead vocals by Stewkey Antoni received little attention, and made just in the US. The Nazz broke up in 1969, and were fondly remembered after the fact. Rundgren expected the album opener "I Saw The Light," which was the first single from Something/Anything?, to be his big hit, even going as far as to say so in the liner notes rather tongue-in-cheek. However, his re-recording of "Hello It's Me" eclipsed it on the charts - "I Saw The Light" stalled at Both songs displayed his newfound admiration (and subsequent imitation) of Carole King following her Tapestry album.
