Live Cream (also called Live Cream, Volume 1) is a live compilation album by the British rock band Cream, released in 1970. This album comprises four live tracks recorded in 1968 and one studio track "Lawdy Mama" from 1967. The instrumental track for "Lawdy Mama" is the same as heard on "Strange Brew" with a different vocal and guitar solo by Eric Clapton. Live Cream hit No. 15 on the Billboard 200, and made No. 4 on the UK Top 40.

On the other UK version: Live Cream, they are on one line. 1970 All the selections were recorded live, with the exception of "Lawdy Mama" which is a studio recording. LAWDY MAMA was produced by Ahmet Ertegun & Robert Stigwood. All the other selections were produced by Felix Pappalardi. Cream is excellent band but always you can't get it right, like this album. When you listen it carefully you notice that vocalist is out of tune. I think the guitar work is a uniform thickness and repetitive in place, it lacks all the highlights. Released in April 1970 and derived from tapes made at three May 1968 California shows, all of the live tracks here consist of songs originally featured on the group's least ambitious and most rudimentary album, Fresh Cream, dating from 1966 - and as it happens, there's not a hit represented among the five songs, a fact that probably made this.
