Squackett - A Life Within A Day flac album

A Life Within a Day is the only studio album by the musical project Squackett, featuring Chris Squire (Yes) and Steve Hackett (ex-Genesis). It was released on 28 May 2012, although it had been written and recorded a few years earlier. The title track, "A Life Within a Day" won the 'Anthem' award at the 2012 Progressive Music Awards.

Arguably, they are weighed down by their egos, pedigree, and the high, and often unrealistic, expectations of absolute perfection - every album must be an utter masterpiece. But it usually doesn't worked out that way. Progressive rock in particular is rather notorious for its attempts at supergroups. Emerson Lake & Palmer rightfully took off, and the original Asia justifiably burned brightly for a short time, but others like GTR and Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe (four-fifths of Yes' classic Fragile lineup) fizzled after one wildly uneven (at best) album.

A Life Within A Day is a music studio album recording by SQUACKETT (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2012 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. The album starts with the fantastic A Life Within a Day, pretty much in the vein of Bay of Kings, with that mysterious oriental sound of Steve's albums enhanced by the solid bass. We all know the amazing talent of Steve in the guitar, but any reasonable person would expect Chris in the lead voice; incredibly Hackett takes the lead and does an outstanding job, being obvious he has improved a lot in this field.

The eighties frequently tried to give an answer with the so-called supergroups. Steve Hackett himself was once part of such a supergroup, GTR. A quarter of a century later the approach has changes. Chris Squire had worked with Steve before here and there, and they had the idea for a joint album. They coined the word SQUACKETT and made it the name of their project
