Album: Special Beat - Live in Japan, 2014. The English Beat (. The Beat) perform "Get A Job"/"Stand Down Margaret" live at the US Music Festival in San Bernardino in 1982. Get A Job" is the fifth track on the second side of the 1981 album "Wha'ppen?". Stand Down Margaret" was featured as the second track on the second side of their 1980 album "I Just Can't Stop It". The English Beat was one of two bands that played the US Festival both years (1982 &1983) the other band being Oingo Boingo

A live album culled from Special Beat's 1995 tour of Japan, Gangsters finds the group running through a mixture of Specials and English Beat classics. Since it features many of the songs popularized by the members' former groups, it's a bit redundant - especially in light of the fact that Special Beat themselves have already released two LPs with very similar selections, and the same three songs lead off all three albums. Stick with the original recordings by the original groups.

SPECIAL BEAT is a dub/ska/reggae music artist. The group's raison d'être seems to be mounting tours with a featured repertoire of Specials/English Beat classics - and they have met with considerable road success in England and Japan.
