Move D’s Namlook tribute, The Silent Orbiter, consists of one, single track lasting nearly an hour. It is, he plainly claims, rather dark and droney, requiem style. Debut album Earth To Infinity and follow-up Big Rooms (1993) mixed subtle dance groove with lashings of electro-jazz and slow-mo experimentation.

He’s released on Fax, Warp, as well as his own Source label under the Move D moniker also on previous projects Deep Space Network, Intergalactic Federation with Dr Atmo and Reagenz and not forgetting the many collaborations with the late Pete Namlook. Sheet Music and Tabs for Move . avid Moufang aka Move D is a true pioneer of electronic music. He released on labels like Warp, Reflective, Freundinnen, Compost's Black Label and of course on his own label Source.

Martin the author of Orbiter allowed external add-ons to be in charge of rendering, this is done by using "Orbiter ng. exe" (NG No Graphic) and a graphic client. Important things to know: The DeltaGliderIV, UCGO and UMmu addons aren't designed to run on Orbiter beta. Therefore even on Vista, Seven or Windows 8 better choose DX9 and Orbiter 2010 normal! Avoid fullscreen mode that cause problem with Orbiter's dialogs.

Limited to 250 copies.

From the liner notes:
"Dear Pete,

It's been a year now since the terrible and unexpected loss of your physical presence. Hardly a single day has passed without thoughts of you. Always took you for granted and the projects we would have in our pensionary days.

All I can say is, how proud I am to have had the opportunity to work with you intensively and to have you as a dear friend. Still wish I would have communicated this better, being a more reliable and present friend to you.

The music here, I was carrying around with me for a while - never quite knew where it came from and why I came up with such a dark and sincere piece. I always wanted to give it to you, but save it for the right moment - never would have thought this would be my requiem for you, until I realised that this is what it really is...

You're sadly missed by so many, but your music will resonate with us, hope you're listening, too - out there somewhere...

Love D

Talk about Move/D - The Silent Orbiter

I listen to this on headphones when i'm doing work and needing to focus. I find the humming, purring, clicking, and slippery leather + nylon fabric sounds create an oddly comforting atmosphere. The overall soundscape makes me feel like i'm in a cozy little space station, silently orbiting the Earth. Amazing album, and beautiful dedication to Pete Namlook.

Just received my copy (1 hour ago); All I can say is that it is very good, but very dark and full of anguish.
