The Isness is a 2002 album by experimental electronica group The Future Sound of London, released under the alias Amorphous Androgynous (except in the US, where it was released as FSOL for commercial reasons).

Future Sound of London returned to active recording with The Isness, a record that trumpets a host of through-the-ages psychedelic influences - from the Beatles to Gong to mid-'70s Pink Floyd to Spacemen 3 to the Chemical Brothers - but does little to expand on any of those original inspirations.

The band themselves ‘the Amorphous Androgynous’ (a psychedelic supergroup conceptualised and produced by the Future Sound Of London) are said to have always regretted the last minute changes to the album, the creation of which took five years from 1996-2001 post production of the FSOL album ‘DEAD CITIES’ and marks an important chapter in the production duos history and 5 year disappearance.
