Bridget St John (born Bridget Anne Hobbs; 4 October 1946 in Surrey, England) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known for the three albums she recorded between 1969 and 1972 for John Peel's Dandelion record label. Peel produced her debut album Ask Me No Questions. She also recorded a large number of BBC Radio and Peel sessions and toured regularly on the British college and festival circuit

Thank you Bridget St John for this album, which like the two previous ones contains some of the most beautiful songs ever written. It is more complex in nature than her first two, but also the distinctive emotion of Bridget is there for all to experience in all its glory. Ask me no Questions", her first album, was centred on the English countryside with lovely descriptions of the natural world, interspersed with romantic love songs. Here, Bridget St. John sings and plays for the most part on her own, with occasional musical accompaniment by Rick Sanders. Her brief introductions to each song, given in French, are quite charming; and the fact that she is both performing English folk music live and simultaneously addressing a large francophone audience, reveal what a very real talent must have been present on the stage at the time.
