Primo Victoria (Latin, "Foremost, Victory") is the debut studio album by Swedish power metal band Sabaton. The band had previously recorded the full length album Metalizer with Italian label Underground Symphony, but due to conflicts its release was delayed until 2007. Primo Victoria instead became Sabaton's debut album, recorded in 2004 in Abyss Studios, and released the following year with their new label, Black Lodge Records.

Primo Victoria is the debut studio album by Swedish power metal band Sabaton. It was released in 2005. This is the album that started it all. After writing the music for the title track, the band realised they needed lyrics that could stand up to the powerful new sound they had created, and they chose the allied invasion of Normandy during World War II. It worked so well that they went on to write the rest of the album about historic battles, and the Swedish War Machine was born. Sabaton fact: The title track, Primo Victoria, is still a firm fixture in the band’s live sets to this day.

Primo Victoria" was thought also to be the first album of Sabaton (a few years before 2005, but the record company didn't bring the plan to reality). All the songs on the CD are about war or things that can be put on the same shelf

This was the first album they released for their new label, Black Lodge Records. The band was commissioned by members of the Norwegian Army 2nd Battalion to make an alternative version of Panzer Battalion. The alternate version, called Second Battalion, differs only in that the lyric "Second Battalion" is sung in place of "panzer battalion".
