The Damned Things - High Crimes flac album

The Damned Things are an American rock supergroup consisting of Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley of Fall Out Boy, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Keith Buckley of Every Time I Die, and Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio. The band's name is inspired by the lyrics in Ram Jam's 1977 version of "Black Betty". In 2008, Joe Trohman and Scott Ian met and began writing music together. They invited Keith Buckley, Rob Caggiano and Andy Hurley soon after.

The one big takeaway from this album is that it's a group of diverse musicians having genuine fun together creating a hard rock album. But, citing the fact that the first Damned Things album was so much fun to produce, the urge to follow it up never truly died down, and led to the band reconvening in 2016 to begin work on their sophomore effort

THE DAMNED THINGS will release a new album, "High Crimes", on April 26 via Nuclear Blast. The supergroup comprised of members of EVERY TIME I DIE, ANTHRAX and FALL OUT BOY recently confirmed the addition of ALKALINE TRIO bassist Dan Andriano to its ranks. He replaces Josh Newton (EVERY TIME I DIE), who hasn't been part of the band since it was reactivated three years ago. Also gone from THE DAMNED THINGS is guitarist Rob Caggiano (VOLBEAT, ANTHRAX).

Keith Buckley still wreaks of confidence singing, I’m a goddamn coward and you knew it all along, with the same moxie as, You’re in over your head, I’m invincible! He gets more actual singing time, happily showing off the full range of his vocals. High Crimes is like a great action movie. It’s fun and enjoyable. It's exciting, even if nothing new is being done. Let the main gigs worry about legacy while The Damned Things exist as a fun outlet for its members. High Crimes is ten songs of aggressive hard rock oozing with melody, and it’s a total blast.
