Duran Duran - Burning The Ground/Decadance flac album

Burning The Ground is the 20th single by Duran Duran, released in December 1989. It was created as a stand-alone single to promote the compilation album Decade: Greatest Hits, but didn’t appear on the album itself. However, its music video was included on the band’s audiovisual compilation Greatest, released on 1999 (VHS) and 2003 (DVD). The song is essentially a megamix of Duran Duran’s history, featuring tidbits of all of the band’s hits of the previous ten years.

All tracks sampled from the album "Decade". B-side produced and mixed at Pacific & Ezee Studios.

An extended version was released later as a promotional only UK 12" vinyl single in 1990. The megamix is more instrumental in nature. The track uses lyrics taken from eight Duran Duran singles from the 1980s, written by the five original band members.

Decade is a greatest hits album by Duran Duran, released on 15 November 1989 (see 1989 in music). The remix single "Burning the Ground" was released to radio to promote this album. It was created by producer John Jones by mixing snippets of the band's biggest hits from the previous decade into a new piece of music. However, the track was not included on the Decade album itself. The tracks "My Own Way" and "New Moon on Monday" were also not included, even though both were top 20 hits in the UK.
