Neal Schon/Jan Hammer - No More Lies flac album

Very nice synthesis between Jan Hammer and Neal Schon, who gets to solo more than he was able to within the confines of Journey. I also bought the new Journey album "Eclipse", in which Neal puts together a virtuoso performance. I first heard (saw) the track "No More Lies" on MTV back in the summer of '83, and was impressed not only with such a hard-charging riff, but also Neal's very capable lead vocal. Sure, his voice is better suited for backing vocals, but on all the songs that he sings on this compilation, he more than fits the bill. I have to wonder how many of these songs he brought to Journey only to be rejected by Mr. Perry.

Schon & Hammer was an American rock duo composed of boardist Jan Hammer and guitarist Neal Schon. They released two studio albums, Untold Passion in 1981 and Here to Stay in 1982 and a collection entitled No More Lies in 1998. Hammer is best known for his soundtrack work on the Miami Vice TV series, and Schon as the guitarist from the band Journey.
