TEXT is the band founded by Kristofer Steen, David Sandström, Fredrik Bäckström and Jon F Brännström. All, except Bäckström, were ex-members of hardcore band Refused. Stylistically, they have little in common with Refused. Their debut album, Text, is a mix of spoken word, music of various styles, and ambient sound effects, often producing an ethereal, avant-garde sound.

Track 3, 6 & 8 recorded, programmed, mixed and produced at Min Vilja Är Folkets Studios.
Track 4 recorded at Second Home in September 1998. Mixed and edited there in August 1999.
Track 5 recorded on a 4-track in Bobby Digitals bedroom on Monday August 9 1999. Mixed next door at Min Vilja Är Folkets Studios the following day.
Track 7 recorded at Country Road on August 17 1998. Everything else done at Second Home from September 1998 until June 1999.
