The 77s - Snake flac album

The 77s (alternatively spelled the Seventy Sevens or the 77's) is an American rock band consisting of Michael Roe on vocals/guitar, Mark Harmon on bass guitar, and Bruce Spencer on drums. A live album (88) and a compilation (Sticks and Stones) were released. Pray Naked was released in 1992 but the title was changed by the label, Word Records, to The Seventy Sevens. This was followed by Drowning with Land in Sight in 1994. Leonhardt and Smith left the band soon after, and Smith was replaced by Bruce Spencer of Vector. Scott Reams sometimes played in the band during concerts. At the end of the 1990s, The 77s started the label Fools of the World and reissued some of its albums.

The 77s released their self-titled, third album in 1987 on the Exit and Island Records labels. The album contains the band's biggest hit single to date, which was "The Lust, The Flesh, The Eyes and the Pride of Life. Years later, the song would be covered by Roe's other band The Lost Dogs (on the album, MUTT), and the band 311 would even "borrow" a few lines from the song for one of their own singles.

White Snake is the first solo album by David Coverdale, released in early 1977. Coverdale would use the album title as the name of his future band, first known as "David Coverdale's Whitesnake" and soon afterwards shortened to Whitesnake. As his first solo effort, Coverdale later admitted: "It's very difficult to think back and talk sensible about the first album

That it had the unfortunate honor of being both released with and overshadowed by another Island release - U2's The Joshua Tree - is irony at its most awful. Though The 77's earned a favorable write-up in Rolling Stone, Island was too busy handling the runaway success of U2 to figure out how to properly market the anachronistic band
