Hot Shots is a compilation album by the Canadian rock band Trooper, released in March 1979. The album consists of the band's most popular songs with some modifications. Hot Shots broke all records for Canadian sales of an album by a Canadian act, reaching quadruple-platinum. Hot Shots II is the second studio album by Scottish musical group The Beta Band, released on 16 July 2001. The band co-produced the album with Colin Emmanuel aka C-Swing, and was a considered a departure from the dense experimentation of their previous efforts, instead favouring a more stripped-back style influenced by R&B, hip hop and electronica. Pitchfork placed Hot Shots II at number 118 on their list of top 200 albums of the 2000s
