The recordings were from the band's shows at the Glasgow Apollo in November 1973, Newcastle City Hall in October 1974 and the Wembley Empire Pool in October 1975. Roxy Music is an English rock band formed in 1970 by Bryan Ferry, who became the band's lead vocalist and chief songwriter, and bassist Graham Simpson. Alongside Ferry, the other longtime members were Phil Manzanera (guitar), Andy Mackay (saxophone and oboe) and Paul Thompson (drums and percussion).

Live Album - July 1976. Roxy decided on a temporary hiatus after the Siren tour in Michigan in March 1976. The band booked time in April to mix some live performances from the previous 3 tours. Island records took this hiatus as the perfect opportunity to release a live album. The album was recorded over 3 venues, Glasgow Apollo, Wembley Empire Pool and Newcastle City Hall. This album peaked at number 20 in the UK charts in 1976.
