Northern Beaches - Music For Dying In Bars flac album

In 2014, Bastion Recordings began selling the vinyl version of this album with a bonus copy of the "Civil Floor nd" 7" (BAST005), which is now out of print individually. The digital download continues to have the 10 basic tracks from the original release.

In musical notation, a bar (or measure) is a segment of time corresponding to a specific number of beats in which each beat is represented by a particular note value and the boundaries of the bar are indicated by vertical bar lines. Dividing music into bars provides regular reference points to pinpoint locations within a musical composition. It also makes written music easier to follow, since each bar of staff symbols can be read and played as a batch

Yet this album isn’t one. Staccato beats navigate fast-moving samples and the trio’s breathlessly vituperative raps. There’s a nimble touch to the see-saw rhymes on A Thousand Words and At The Party, while sly humour abounds. Mainly because their last album, In Dying Arms (self titled) was on the verge of something that I’d consider professional. I’m not saying it sounds fake or anything, I think it had an amateurish aesthetic to their music and the band still had a little bit of growing to do. However, earlier this year, In Dying Arms released the single The Core of My Existence (which appears in Boundaries) and it really gave away how ambitious this album could potentially be, it shows the band were ready to move up a level  .

The ladies of Northern State deliver funky breaks and tight grooves on Dying in Stereo, and keep the hip-hop flavor without being vulgar and crass.

"Jesus, gonna make up my dyin' bed," Robert Plant sings here, but since the tune goes on for 11 minutes, . will have to wait until Jimmy, John Paul, and Jason are done with their thunderous blues-rawk showboating. The Northern State album is a novelty at best and a grand insult to hip hop at worst. This is an album and group that could only flourish under what John Waters once dubbed as the curtain of irony. the kind of joke you don't laugh at because you're the victim of it. This isn't something you should be accepting just because it's different then what you've been hearing. This is crap with a thin layer of talcum powder.
