Treasure is the third studio album by Scottish alternative rock band Cocteau Twins. It was released on 1 November 1984 by 4AD. With this album, the band settled on what would, from then on, be their primary lineup: vocalist Elizabeth Fraser, guitarist Robin Guthrie and bass guitarist Simon Raymonde. This new lineup also coincided with the development of the ethereal sound associated with the band's music.

Cocteau Twins hailed from Grangemouth (equidistant between Glasgow and Edinburgh, on the banks of the Firth of Forth), which the band’s tour manager once described as, a village around an oil rig. Contrary to the grim landscape, beauty sprang forth. Guthrie had been at school with Heggie – Fraser was two years below them. Guthrie’s studio nous is evident from the second album’s towering reverb, met every inch of the way by Fraser’s unleashed aerobics. The sound is both lush and spiky, with serene opener ‘When Mama Was Moth’ and barnstorming finale ‘Musette And Drums’ instantly extinguishing all Banshees comparisons. Two EPs, Tiny Dynamine and Echoes In A Shallow Bay were next, released two weeks apart to break the mould Guthrie explained, but they were still two halves of a whole, with matching artwork.

Tiny Dynamine is an EP by the Scottish rock group Cocteau Twins, released on 4AD Records. The EP features four non-album tracks. It was issued on 15 November 1985, two weeks prior to another EP entitled Echoes in a Shallow Bay. The two EP sets, which feature complementary artwork, were also released together as an 8 track CD.

The world of Cocteau Twins is an infinite spiral that comes and goes, playing with my mind and my emotions.
