Head over Heels is the second studio album by Scottish alternative rock band Cocteau Twins. The album was released in October 1983 by 4AD, and was their first album as a duo of Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie. It featured the band's signature sound of "Guthrie’s lush guitars under Fraser’s mostly wordless vocals" and is considered an archetype of early ethereal wave music.

Sunburst and Snowblind is the third EP by Scottish alternative rock band Cocteau Twins. It was released on 7 November 1983 by 4AD. The EP features "Sugar Hiccup", from the album Head over Heels, as well as three other tracks. The title of the EP comes from the first line in the opening track of Head Over Heels, "When Mama Was Moth". From the Flagstones" and "Hitherto" appears on The Pink Opaque (1985), and the entire EP is featured in The Box Set (1991)

Sunburst and Snowblind is on dark violet coloured vinyl. The new sleeve artwork is printed on heavyweight 350g double white board, picture labels and heavyweight inner bags. Head over Heels' is the most consistent of the earlier Cocteau albums. The import version that includes the 'Sunburst and Snowblind' ep makes sense since they were both recorded during the same sessions. Sugar Hiccup' is reprised on the ep, but the three other tracks are the real reason to purchase it. To this day, it amazes me that 'From the Flagstones' and 'Hitherto' weren't included on the original album since they are far more melodic than some of that album's tracks.
