Mountain Lake is a freshwater lake located in Giles County near Newport, Virginia in the United States. Along with Lake Drummond in the Great Dismal Swamp, it is one of only two natural lakes in Virginia. It was originally known as Salt Pond, as it was where cattle were given salt. Mountain Lake typically covers about 50 acres (200,000 m2), and its level was largely constant at an elevation of 3,875 feet (1,181 m) during the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Foggy Mountain Boys were an American bluegrass band. The band was founded by guitarist Lester Flatt and banjo player Earl Scruggs and is viewed by music historians as one of the premier bluegrass groups in the history of the genre. The band was originally formed in 1948 by Flatt, who had been a member of Bill Monroe's bluegrass band. Flatt brought Scruggs with him shortly after leaving Monroe.

Country Roads Lyrics. Almost heaven, West Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah river Life is old there, older than the trees Younger than the mountains blowin' like the breeze. Country roads take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain momma Take me home, that country road. All my memories gather 'round her Miner's lady, stranger to blue water Dark and dusty, painted on the sky Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye. Country roads take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain momma Take me home, that country road

West Virginia Mountain Farms. Rain has killed us this year. Potatoes, couple hundred tomatoes, 100 pepper plants, blue lake bush beans are in. Hopefully corn, squash, zucchini, and some pumpkins too this weekend. Been a long couple days. Also keep checking in on our adventure to grow giant pumpkins. Bought seeds from a 1700 pound pumpkin. Hoping to grew some giants this year. Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Pray for those lost and who have gave the ultimate sacrifice. Without them laying there life down we wouldn’t have the freedoms we enjoy today! 26 Mayıs, 13:24 · Herkese Açık.
