I had this album on vinyl when it was first released, and over the years, it got lost. After downloading and listening to Macon Tracks after 20+ years, it struck me just how tight the band is and how some music will stand the test of time. It's not trendy, its just good solid southern rock with excellent musicianship and vocals. Fans of slide guitar will appreciate Dru's deft touch as he weaves his unique sound into the fabric of the songs. Where Derek Trucks amazes with his speed, Dru is more subtle (both great slide-masters, just showing the difference in approach)
