The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. Surprise slowly gave way to addiction when Takaaki Itoh was exposed to the sounds of such artists and labels as Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Hardfloor, Sven Väth, Harthouse, Warp and Rising High. This was his sound, and deciding he just couldn't get enough of it, in 1994 Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan.

Out of the three total Itoh records for Sheep Records, "Clench Your Wench" is quite probably my favorite. Two monstrous titanium steel all-weather, over-the-horizon, anti-ship, anti-ground force missile systems straight out of the most extraneous industrial facility, laying down standards and confirming his place as the lawful judge and torch barrier of aural mechanical power.Severely thrashing, drubbing kicks dash out brains over mentally disturbed and blown-up themes from soundtracks of Dario Argento flicks. OK, that might be an embroidered statement, but hopefully you get the point. The entire A side is the equivalent of two errant bombs approaching your territory and inevitably bringing an erosion of whichever assets you held dear up to that point in time. You got that right! Takaaki Itoh holds no punches, takes no prisoners, wears no gloves and bores dual barrel gun shot wounds into your bullet proof vests.The B side kicks off with a condensed off beat combat vehicle which at certain points drops a frightening passage, balancing between the early Axis stuff and the more experimental and tongue in cheek synth experimentation by Anthony Child. Heavy, loathsome and irresistible to the point you will want to voluntarily submit to punishment beatings.The last tune goes back to the 4x4 structure, but comes dressed in lighter clothes, summer time outfit if you will. Sound wise, it might be closer to his EPs released on Stimulus than the stuff he's done on Sheep or IM Records. Regardless, in tune with the rest of this 12", it is a submissive techno chain that puts you in shackles of concentric sound rings!If you've enjoyed stuff like BMB's "Learn Your Lesson", Christian Wunsch's "Master Avalanche", Regis "Divine Ritual", Luka Baumann's "Emergence Nine", or the more macabre stuff Makaton came up with on his own Rodz Konez imprint, then you cannot afford to miss out on this one.
