Great Recording and will miss Natasha. 11 yrs ago I bought this CD while living in a small town in Wisconsin and was happy with the new directions the play took.

Too many words can describe that distinction, but there is plenty of showmanship and animation within the essential mix of Cabaret and Tin Pan Alley sounding songs that highlight the trademark Disney sound. All of the 21 songs are worth mentioning, but for this listener, several stood out as memorable, opener Overture, Arabian Nights, the songs sung by James Monroe Iglehart as the Genie were highly animated and vivid Friend Like Me, Somebody’s Got Your Back, Act One Finale with Jonathan Freeman, Prince Ali (Reprise) with Clifton Davis, the touching Proud of Your Boy sung.
