American Doll Posse is Tori's 9th studio album. It's a conceptual album about 5 American women (Tori, Pip, Isabel, Clyde, and Santa) all portrayed by Tori, and their views on politics, love, sexuality, and religion. but what makes it a little disappointing for me is that the album is so long that's it's hard for any of the songs to be memorable. I wasn't really impressed with her concept of the album either. Like the cover of the album and its concept, American Doll Posse renders Tori Amos a schizophrenic of sorts. Most tracks sound brimming with energy and life but find Tori divided in direction, singing from the perspectives of 5 different women (Santa, Pip, Isabel, Clyde and Tori). As with Tori's other albums, the album speaks ofa wide range of topics from politics to society and feminism.
