We're grudgingly won over by the gooey-eyed romanticism of Ed's second. On paper, Ed Sheeran makes no sense. He shambled into the spotlight in 2011 like a cross between Damien Rice and Craig David – an earnest acoustic singer-songwriter by day and a hook-provider for grime MCs by night. He’s a sentimental troubadour for the suburbanite 1Xtra crowd, wrapped in the clothes of a wannabe surfer kid circa 2003. With ‘X’, Sheeran returns with a pinch of R&B sass, a pocket full of A-list producers.

I was able to pick up a nice used version of this at my local shop. Sounds amazing! No surface noise at all, quality recording. Also, a solid album, I'm not sure there is a single song I'm not excited about.

Sounds fantastic. Production is top notch, and the 45 RPM makes it sounds so much better than most records I have. Packaging is high quality and really feels solid (which is a welcome change considering some of the records I've bought in the last year) It is dead quiet during the passages its almost as if I am not listening to a record. It is that good. Highly recommended release. Dissapointed it didn't include the four bonus tracks, but for a release this good sounding I'll easily let it pass.

Seriously one of the best-sounding vinyls I've ever heard; sound-quality wise. I'd like to see more artists move to 45rpm LP's if you already have to use 2 LP's, might as well press at 45 RPM than leave inches of wasted space on the inside of the record.

A well performed album with stunning sound quality. Mine was a little bit noisy, but a pass through the record cleaning machine fixed that.
