A new version of Last. The Moldau, Part 6 (New York Philharmonic Orchestra feat. conductor: Leonard Bernstein). Vltava (The Moldau River). Dalibor: Act II, Scene 1. "Ba nejveselejší je tento svět" (sbor). Z českých luhů a hájů - From Bohemia's Woods and Fields.

The composition describes the course of the Vltava, starting from the two small springs, the Cold and Warm Vltava, to the unification of both streams into a single current, the course of the Vltava through woods and meadows, through landscapes where a farmer's wedding is celebrated, the round dance of the mermaids in the night's moonshine: on the nearby rocks loom. Smetana finished composing this piece, the title of which means "From Bohemia's woods and fields", on 18 October 1875 and received its first public performance nearly eight weeks later, on 10 December. A depiction of the beauty of the Czech countryside and its people, the tone poem tells no real story. Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Archived 2015-04-04 at the Wayback Machine.
