Well done! The series only lasted a year but this cd captures the spirit quite well. Walsh is great as always.

A Future to This Life: Robocop – The Series Soundtrack is a 1995 television soundtrack album by Joe Walsh with various artists, which was released on January 24, 1995, on both CD and cassette by Pyramid. It was the soundtrack for Stephen Downing' short-lived series RoboCop: The Series, based on the RoboCop film series. Made to appeal primarily to children and young teenagers, it lacks the graphic violence that was the hallmark of RoboCop (1987) and its sequel RoboCop 2 (1990)

What a director/composer collaboration RoboCop 2 (1990) presented! The film was directed by none other than Irvin Kershner, and the composer was Leonard Rosenman. The original RoboCop (1987) was, of course, scored by the legendary Basil Poledouris, but the sequel went in a very different direction

A soundtrack album is any album that incorporates music directly recorded from the soundtrack of a particular feature film or television show. The first such album to be commercially released was Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the soundtrack to the film of the same name, in 1938. The first soundtrack album of a film's orchestral score was that for Alexander Korda's 1942 film Jungle Book, composed by Miklós Rózsa.

Well done! The series only lasted a year but this cd captures the spirit quite well. The title song is all but a commentary on Murphy's humanity though his conversion to cyborg was supposed to remove all traces of that factor. Walsh is great as always. The other retro cuts are a nice variety of the music heard in the show, which itself should be available on dvd but isn't. Nice cd!
