Lyrics to What's Stopping You by The O'Jays from the Love You to Tears album - including song video, artist biography, translations and more! . The O'Jays are an American R&B group from Canton, Ohio, formed in 1958 and originally consisting of Eddie Levert (born June 16, 1942), Walter Williams (born August 25, 1943), William Powell (January 20, 1942 – May 26, 1977), Bobby Massey and Bill Isles. The O'Jays made their first chart appearance with "Lonely Drifter" in 1963, but reached their greatest level of success once Gamble & Huff, a team of producers and songwriters, signed them to their Philadelphia International label in 1972
What's stopping you from loving me. You must be sleepin'. Still out there creepin'. Everything you do, you know I like. Girl it ain't cool saying OK and then saying stop. Girl, I'll be patient, I'll even change my ways. Looking for your love is like walking through a maze. Repeat 1. Is it the way I talk that you don't like. Baby I'll change and I'll drive to make it right.
With Gamble & Huff, the O'Jays (now a trio after the departure of Isles and Massey) emerged at the forefront of Philadelphia soul with "Back Stabbers" (1972), and topped the Billboard Hot 100 the following year with what some consider to be the first disco hit song, "Love Train". Numerous other hits followed through the 1970s and into the 1980s and 1990s, and The O'Jays were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004, and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
What's Stopping You". I wanted to sit out of this one but my God you’re so convincing I said I would and I meant I’d try but with a wealth of doubts came a mouth full of lies (I said that I would, and I meant every word but it took the ending) I sank my teeth in the kingdom come and spit out. my years and held back my tongue (And all that I heard, from the foot of my bed this was just the beginning).
