Originally released in 1968 on the album The Mason Williams Phonograph Record, it has been re-recorded and re-released numerous times since by Williams. I like the sound of a full band behind Mason Williams guitar it sounds really good I think. In my opinion this CD is worth getting for Classical Gas alone but there are a few other pieces that are quite nice and enjoyable to listen to as Chanson De Claudine and Vancouber Island which are quite nice  . I bought this album for "Classical Gas". 1967 the TV show Smothers Brothers was on, Manson Williams was writing for the show, and having been away from his guitar for awhile, he "fueled up", the result was this Masterpiece. If you have never heard it, this is a must.
