Live at the Rotterdam Ahoy is a live album recorded by Deep Purple on 30 October 2000 and released in 2001. It includes most of a concert performed in Rotterdam, the Netherlands during the 2000/2001 "Concerto Tour". The Concerto for Group and Orchestra itself was performed, but it does not appear on the album due to "legal requirements" (according to the liner notes)

De Doelen is a concert venue and convention centre in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was originally built in 1934 but then destroyed in 1940 during the German bombardment of Rotterdam in May 1940 at the outset of World War II. It was rebuilt in 1966, originally with one hall to which two more were added in the 1990s. It has a variety of facilities, including the Grote Zaal (Grand Hall), a 2,200-seat concert hall, two smaller halls which each seat about 700 people, and convention rooms

De Doelen is a home to the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, which are often on tour. The artists selection is very good, young rising soloists is their specialty. The acoustics is very good throughout the concert hall, although you will see less when in the back. Rotterdam, completely flattened by German bombs during the Second World War Blitz, has risen from its ashes handsomely, stronger and more vibrant than ever. It is a young city with cutting edge architecture, lively cultural life, its universities, Erasmus University among them. The international vibes of it being one of the largest ports in the world and the gateway to all of Europe and beyond, makes Rotterdam a place to visit. This city is also the birthplace of Willem de Kooning, The Museum Boijmans van Beuningen is one to visit. Recently I visited The Doelen again.
