Known as The Voice of the Suns Al McCoy looks back on his 47 years as a Suns’ broadcaster. After broadcasting Suns games for 46 seasons, Al McCoy has so many stories. And it's hard for him to believe that the Suns are 50 years old.

Al McCoy's Top 5 Suns' Moments. The history of the Suns has kind of been in cycles. We were fortunate with winning teams and great players. The Phoenix Suns and Sports 620 KTAR recently honored McCoy with the naming of the Al McCoy Media Center at US Airways Center, a newly updated and improved media center which will be unveiled at the beginning of the 2007-08 season and will feature displays tracing Al's legendary career.

Joseph G. McCoy, the cattleman who laid out the Chisholm Trail. A Pennsylvania wildcatter of the name of McCoy who diverted nitroglycerin from job sites to safecrackers, who in turn dubbed the explosives he supplied the real McCoy (to distinguish them from the homemade less reliable concoctions they sometimes used). Working with his trio featuring bassist George Mraz and drummer Al Foster at New York's Village Vanguard, the pianist instead chose a mix of well-known Coltrane gems like "Naima" (which begins cool and moody, and then heats up into a booming, improvisational jam and - dare it be said when talking about traditional jazz? - funk explosion) and "Afro. Blue (in a strolling, slightly melancholy take with Tyner gliding over Foster's swift brushes)  .

During 1961, McCoy met Kendra Spotswood (also known as Sandi Sheldon) who lived near his family. For the next five years, they sang and recorded music together professionally  . McCoy also had success with David Ruffin's comeback album, Who I Am, featuring "Walk Away from Love", a number 1 R&B hit ( pop) in the US and a UK Top 5 success. He went on to produce the next two albums for Ruffin, which spawned further successes. McCoy produced Gladys Knight and The Pips' Still Together LP, and for Melba Moore ("This Is It" and "Lean On Me"). He discovered Faith, Hope And Charity, whose major success in 1975, "To Each His Own", was another R&B chart-topper.

Arguably McCoy Tyner’s best recording, The Real McCoy stands out as the definitive hard bop Blue Note release. Featuring veritable legends Joe Henderson, Ron Carter and Elvin Jones, Tyner condenses his musical thought to reflect upon the troubled and tumultuous late 1960s. 192 kHz, 24-bit, 96 kHz, 24-bit PCM – CM BLUE NOTE (A92) Studio Masters. LeSean McCoy has been calling Matt Barkley "Mark. Thought that was his name, until reporters corrected him. "He never said anything. Of course, "Mark" Barkley isn't bad as far as Weirdly Unintentional Nicknames go, but McCoy can surely do better. Michael Conroy, AP. "Who, Mick Foley? Great QB.
