Kikagaku Moyo (Japanese: 幾何学模様 Hepburn: Kikagaku Moyō) are a Japanese psychedelic band from Tokyo. The band's name translates to "geometric patterns. The band was formed by Go Kurosawa (drums/vocals) and Tomo Katsurada (guitar/vocals) in the summer of 2012. Their early days were spent busking on the streets of Tokyo as a free music collective. A more permanent lineup was reached when Daoud (guitar) joined and they met Kotsu Guy (bass) while he was recording vending machines for his noise project

Last night on the drive home all I wanted to listen to was Kikagaku Moyo, even though I had planned to listen to Sleep's Dopesmoker since I had an hour drive and I rarely have a long enough trip for that album. Absolutely fantastic. If any of you ever have the chance to see Kikagaku Moyo, DO IT! In my estimation, last night revealed to me that they are a GREAT BAND.
