The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are an American Southern rock/country rock band formed in 1972 in Springfield, Missouri, United States. They are most widely known for their singles "If You Wanna Get to Heaven" in 1974 and "Jackie Blue" in 1975. Bassist Michael "Supe" Granda has also written a book about the band, It Shined

Sporting a patchwork quilt cover that gave some indication of its eclectic musical content, and spawned the hit single "If You Wanna Get to Heaven", plus many other laid-back originals from the Missouri natives.

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils is the debut album by the Country rock & Southern rock band The Ozark. li Saliva Lead Singer Josey Scott covered the song "If You Wanna Get To Heaven" for the TV Film "The Dukes Of Hazzard: The Beginning"

Live At The Roxy and Palomino Club. Despite their exotic name, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils have a sound that is closer to, say, Elton John than fellow southern rock pioneers such as Lynyrd Skynyrd or The Allman Brothers. They had a brief run of success back in the mid 70s, built upon a couple of massive hits. Jackie Blue" is an excellent piece of pop songwriting and easilly the best song the band ever produced. If You Want to Get to Heaven" proclaims that you have to "raise a little Hell," but does so in such a slickly smooth pop manner that you wonder if they're really serious.

Formed in Missouri in 1972, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils are one of America’s best-loved country-rock bands. This double set presents two vintage KMET-FM broadcasts at the time of their commercial peak. The first disc features founding member Randle Chowning, who departed following their 1976 European tour, to be replaced by Rune Walle (who features on the second disc). Featuring many of their best-known tunes, including the hits If You Wanna Get To Heaven and Jackie Blue, the performances are presented here together with background notes and images.
