No kidding, I like to refer to this album as the Citizen Kane of musique concrète. It's the aural equivalent of a disjointed, ephemoral dream, full of deja vu moments that seem even creepier and more evocative with each listen.

It was released internationally by InsideOut Music on October 9, 2007, on September 28 in Europe by InsideOut Music and on September 24 by Mystic Productions in Poland.

Tom Mathews and Liam Stack (better known now as an actor) were members during 1980-82 and appear on the first two CBS singles from 1980-81, as does Jolyon Jackson. Roger Doyle in 1981, taken for the first CBS single.

Released June 27, 2006. 1. Burnt Slumber Lyrics. 2. Blood from the Stone by Qwel & Jackson Jones (Ft. Jamie Clemmons) Lyrics.

Notes

Includes A4 insert including a self interview with Roger Doyle and recording details:

"Rapid Eye Movements"
Recorded in Dublin, at the Institute of Sonology, Utrecht, and on Killiney beach. During dream sleep the eyes move exactly as if they were wide awake and watching.

"Fin-estra"
Recorded at the Finnish Radio Experimental Music Studio, Helsinki, and at the Institute of Sonology, Utrecht. Transformations of Roger Doyle's 'All the Rage' for orchestra are accompanied by the sound of children playing outside the studio window (fenestra).

Operating Theatre is the music theatre group formed by Irish composer Roger Doyle.

Interview by kind permission of IN DUBLIN magazine, August 1978.
