El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles (the Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels) was the Spanish civilian pueblo founded in 1781, which by the 20th century became the American metropolis of Los Angeles. Official settlements in Alta California were of three types: presidio (military), mission (religious) and pueblo (civil). The Pueblo de los Ángeles was the second pueblo (town) created during the Spanish colonization of California (the first was San Jose, in 1777)

Sevillanas" (derived from Seville) are a particular kind of folkloric songs very extended throughout the south of Spain and, in a lesser extent, through the rest of the country. It's also ono of the most widely known outside of Spain. "Duro" was the popular name of the 5-peseta coin. Its value has fluctuated a lot, since the peseta has suffered repeated devaluations. At the time of entering the Euro, a "duro" was hardly chump change, with no real value. At the time of the original composition, it was most likely an acceptable amount of pocket money.
