Kaleidoscope is the debut studio album by American singer Kelis. It was released on December 7, 1999 by Virgin Records, and was produced entirely by The Neptunes. Despite underperforming in the United States, the album saw mild success in certain international markets, including the United Kingdom, where it charted at number 43 and was certified gold. Kaleidoscope peaked at number 144 on the Billboard 200, and as of November 2006, it had sold 249,000 copies in the United States.

Tasty is the third studio album by American singer Kelis. It was released on December 5, 2003, by Star Trak Entertainment and Arista Records. As executive producer, Kelis enlisted previous collaborators The Neptunes to produce the album, as well as new collaborators such as Raphael Saadiq, Dallas Austin, André 3000, Rockwilder, and Dame Blackmon "Grease".

Indeed, with Tasty, Kelis has left the roller-rink, returned from outer space, and she's back on her own two feet on terra firma- unfortunately. Ironically, it's one of the album's most adventurous beats, "Milkshake", that's providing Kelis a breakthrough- all the more reason to lament the pair of sluggish duets with Raphael Saadiq and the woeful Neptunes track "Sugar Honey Iced Tea", which both demonstrate touches of straight-laced, polite nu-soul.

Also featuring assistance from Andre 3000 (on the electro-heavy Millionaire ) and former Tony! Toni! Toné! frontman Raphael Saadiq, the album is an expansive demonstration of Kelis Rogers’ talents and concerns. She dares paramour and guest rapper Nas to do it In Public - not the only time that a winning, wicked laugh escapes her lips.

Milkshake" is a song by American recording artist Kelis and the lead single from her third studio album, Tasty. It was originally offered to Britney Spears for her fourth studio album In the Zone, but was rejected for unknown reasons. The song was released in the United States on August 27, 2003, by Star Trak and Arista Records, and internationally on November 24. It was written and produced by The Neptunes, a duo that had made the majority of Kelis' songs in the past.
