Another Maiden best of? Well- if you haven’t already forked out cash for these songs before, it’s about time innit? A single album, and a rather spiffing start of your Maiden-collection if you’ve only started enjoying this music called Heavy Metal. For the rest of us, were waiting for Eddie’s Archive, where there are lots of hard to find tracks, unreleased live-recordings etc. Highlights: They are all highlights. The Essential Iron Maiden is the fourth greatest hits compilation by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on 5 July 2005. Released exclusively in North America, it is part of Sony Music Entertainment's The Essential series. the latest studio-recorded songs appear first).

Iron Maiden is, without saying, one of the greatest Metal bands in the history of music. They started their career by topping the charts with their self-titled and exploded onto the Metal scene with 1982's Number of the Beast. Since they started, despite a couple lineup changes, they have continued to release metal classics over the years. This compilation album tries to gather all the greatest songs from all of said metal classics. Since this is a greatest hits album, all of the songs, including classics like Number of the Beast, The Trooper, and Flight of Icarus, are supposed to be good. Some songs however, fall short and shouldn't have been included on this greatest hits collection The Bad.
