Live at Brixton is the second live album by metal band Mastodon. It was released on April 19, 2014. Although it was originally released as a digital only release, it was later released as a Record Store Day exclusive Vinyl. Rolling Stone magazine listed the album in the 20 best metal albums of 2013.

Mastodon's 2014 album, Once More 'Round the Sun, peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart and features the band's third Grammy-nominated song, "High Road". The band's seventh album, Emperor of Sand, was released on March 31, 2017, and features the band's most commercially successful song to date, "Show Yourself", which peaked at No. 4 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in June 2017. The followup single, "Steambreather", peaked at number 18 on the same chart in October 2017. On March 15, 2011, Mastodon released their first live DVD/CD entitled Live at the Aragon through Reprise. The recording features the entire performance of their fourth studio album, Crack the Skye, along with songs from their previous records. The Hunter (2011–2012).

According to the band, no matter what happened on the stage on October 17, 2009, at the Aragon in Chicago, it would end up on the record. This CD/DVD package captures the performance as it happened and includes (as a separate chapter) the Crack the Skye studio movie you see screened behind them, which further expands upon the album's themes. Essentially, depending on what happened, they'd end up as fools or heroes. Based on the evidence, the truth lies somewhere in between.

Live at the Aragon is a vivid documentation of Mastodon’s show. The audio recording is impeccable; each instrument is clear without being overpowering in the mix. Listening at home on a full stereo, I could feel the bass drum hits as much as I could hear them. The guitar tone is exactly the same as on the album: crunchy and deep from the rhythm (Kelliher), slick and clear from the lead (Hinds). I saw a show earlier on the tour, and this setup definitely separated the long-time fans from the new ones - only the hardcore fans were still shouting along to "March of the Fire Ants". Here, however, there is no "Colony of Birchmen" or "Blood and Thunder".
