Neurotic Outsiders was a supergroup founded in 1995, consisting of Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses, and John Taylor of Duran Duran. The first line-up featured Billy Idol and Steve Stevens (together with McKagan and Sorum), but they were soon replaced by Jones and Taylor. The group was originally called Neurotic Boy Outsiders.

Public Image Limited has been played on NTS over 60 times, featured on 59 episodes and was first played on 2 August 2011. Public Image Ltd (abbreviated as PiL) are an English post-punk band originally formed by singer John Lydon (. Johnny Rotten), guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble, and drummer Jim Walker. The group's personnel has changed frequently over the years; Lydon has been the sole constant member. Sid Vicious (born John Simon Ritchie, 10 May 1957 – 2 February 1979) was an English bassist and vocalist. He achieved fame as a member of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols, replacing Glen Matlock, who had fallen out of favour with the rest of the group. Due to intravenous drug use, Vicious was hospitalised with hepatitis during the recording of the Sex Pistols' only studio album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols; his bass is only partially featured on one song - "Bodies".

With Glen Matlock’s departure in February 1977 Sid was drafted in on bass duties via John Lydon. Sid already got on with Steve and Paul, and probably fitted the bands image better than Matlock. Despite the myth, Sid actually COULD play. Maybe only a little but he could play. He practiced like crazy and quickly began to learn the instrument.

Sid Vicious joined the Sex Pistols in 1977, replacing Glen Matlock not because Sid could play bass (he couldn't), but because he looked the part of a punk. The band's single "God Save the Queen" was banned by the BBC but went to the top of the British singles chart anyway. Sid Vicious' girlfriend Nancy Spungen was a Philadelphia native who arrived on the New York punk scene at age 17 and soon garnered a reputation as an extraordinarily dangerous character, in a culture full of dangerous characters. Immediately upon arrival, according to New York Magazine, she began abusing drugs, sleeping with musicians, and exhibiting violent tendencies. John Lydon will occasionally re-form his post-Pistols band Public Image Lt. which he staffs with a changing lineup of musicians to support his voice and songs.

Sid became the Sex Pistols ur-fan. Sid Vicious was not stupid, but he did not have any emotional resources with which to deal with fame. Sid was a lost boy who, like Peter Pan, never grew beyond childhood, and his spectacular demise was both exploited and unmourned. Paul Cook After the Professionals, Cook produced Bananarama's debut album, Deep Sea Skiving, in 1983 before starting the Chiefs of Relief. Now plays with alt-rock trio Man Raze.

Neurotic Boy Outsiders did a West Coast tour and played some shows on the East Coast. In early 1996 they changed their name to Neurotic Outsiders. Their debut album was released in August - September 1996. Nasty Ho It is Matt Sorum who opens the album with four quick, hard pounds on the drums. The sentiment is quite poetic, in a way, given that the song was written by Steve Jones about an encounter with a prostitute. Angelina Steve Jones takes the lead on this song, also composed solely by himself. Angelina is the most obviously radio-friendly song on the album and was issued as a single soon after the album’s release. Jones’ vocal is occasionally off-key but nonetheless musical and the lead guitar melody, also is doing, is superb. The single was backed by a Duran Duran cover, Planet Earth and a reworking of McKagan’s solo song, Seattle Head.

I think for any fans of Velvet Revolver should look at this album. With the back bone of the band being former Gunners Matt Sorum and Duff Mckagan providing the driving hardcore rhythm, it rocks from beginning to the end. Be amazed at how similar it sounds to Velvet Revolver!
