For almost half a Century Kassé Mady Diabaté has been recognized as one of West Africa’s finest singers  . He settled in Mali in the late 1980s after being invited to join the band of the diva Ami Koita, Malian Singer, Malian Singer, and has since recorded with many of Mali’s top artists such as Toumani Diabate, Salif Keita, Babani Koné, Tiken Jah Fakoly, and Bassekou Kouyaté; he was also a member of the Mali-Cuba collaboration, AfroCubism.

A griot to the core, Kassé Mady expresses himself almost entirely through his music, transcribing all of the nuances of the human soul into song. Kassé Mady Diabaté is one of the finest singers in Africa. He s a griot, a guardian of Mali s ancient culture, but in the west he is best known for his fusion projects.
