The Rules for Lovers.

23 year old singer/songwriter from Oxford, UK. Ex Theremin (Shifty disco Records) frontman, released his first solo Ep in May 2004 on Beard Museum Records. Richard is also part of Monoband, the side project of Cranberries guitarist Noel Hogan, who released their debut Lp in May 2005 in Ireland. Half-way through the album, however, Noel was sent a track by Oxford singer-songwriter Richard Walters. Upon listening to the track, Noel immediately called up Richard to ask if he was interested in recording a track for Mono Band's album. While working together, both Noel and Richard realised that they couldn't just quit after one track.

The Second Coming was Little Richard's third album for Reprise Records, and saw him reunited with Robert "Bumps" Blackwell from his Specialty days, with them co-writing the majority of the album together. The concept was to unite the best rock studio musicians of the '50s with the best rock studio musicians of the '70s. Many fans were disappointed in the material and in the over-syncopated, over-produced tracks. The album again failed to chart.

Richard Walters is one of these artists for me. His iridescent voice is so enrapturing, gently melded with thoughtful instrumentation, creating some of the most pitch perfect pop songs I've come across in a long time.
